2 held for possessing ''tiger'' skin

The Pantnagar Police here have arrested two persons and seized two skins, seemingly belonging to tigers valued at around Rs six lakh.
The arrested have been identified as Shivaji Kale (35) and Mubarak Shaikh (40).
Police said the two hail from Mahabaleshwar in Satara district and earned a living as tourist guides there.
The two, police said, had brought the skins to Mumbai with the intention of selling them here. The police received a tipp off following which the duo were arrested from Ghatkopar here.
