Jalpaiguri: A tea garden worker was seriously injured after being mauled by a leopard in
The leopard pounced on Shibu Nagosia (40), a worker of Kalchini tea garden in the district while he was plucking tea leaves yesterday, they said.
Nagosia was being treated at Alipurduar Sub-Divisional Hospital and his condition was stated to be serious.
Assistant Field Director, Buxa Tiger Reserve, Rajiv Sharma along with other forest department personnel have visited the area.
Efforts are on to trap the elusive leopard, the sources said.
