Mountain lions on the prowl in NW California

TRINIDAD, Calif. Livestock and animals are turning up mutilated and warning signs are going up about mountain lions making their way into Trindad on the north coast.

Trinidad Police Chief Ken Thrailkill says the mountain lion sightings are fairly common for this time of year.

One local -- Marian Nicholson -- says she's heard from neighbors that a goat's body was found mutilated and another neighbor found severed heads of raccoons on their property.
