This is the second report of a cougar sighting in Tofino this week.
On Monday Debra Crocker a member of Tofino Bear Aware program said a local resident spotted a cougar behind the Tofino Consumers Co-op Gas Bar last Friday.
If you see a cougar,
* Don’t approach the animal
* Raise your arms above your head, wave them around and look big
* Back away slowly
* Never run away
