New Delhi, Sept 23 (PTI) Nearly six months after living a solitary life, two female tigresses at Panna National Park in Madhya Pradesh are set to get a male companion soon with scientists from Wildlife Institute of India beginning the process of identifying a suitable mate in adjacent Bandhavgarh sanctuary.

"Scientists S Sen and K Ramesh will work with the state officials to identify the suitable male big cat in Bandhavgarh park which can be relocated to Panna reserve which has two female tigresses," WII Director PR Sinha said.

Though in all likelihood the tiger will be shifted by September 25, it depends on various situations like sighting of suitable tiger and weather conditions besides available logistics, he said.
