17 mountain lions harvested so far this season

The 2010 mountain lion season started Jan. 1 and a total of 17 cats have been harvested as of today - five males and 12 females.

A maximum harvest of 40 mountain lions or 25 female mountain lions has been established for this season.

The season will be closed immediately when the harvest limit is met. All permit holders are required to maintain daily contact by phone or Web site to ensure that the season is still in progress and has not been closed due to reaching the limit.
