KOCHI: Forest officials on Sunday rescued a leopard which got stuck in a trap kept for catching wild boar at Edammon under Thenmala forest range. Thenmala forest range officer H T Jose said the forest office received information about the incident around 10 a.m. when the owner of the plot, where the trap was set, alerted the office.

"The male leopard is around four years. We tranquilised the animal and shifted it to Thiruvananthapuram Zoo for medical check up. There are no visible injuries on the body of the leopard.
