Lion hunting districts closed

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks today announced that it has closed all mountain lion hunting in four hunting districts in southwest Montana and that it will close two in western Montana because quotas have been met there.
Effective half an hour after sunset on Sunday was a closure of hunting districts 335, 339, 343, and 388, which include portions of Lewis and Clark and Jefferson counties.
The agency said it will close HDs 213 and 214 in portions of Granite, Powell and Deer Lodge counties half hour after sunset on Tuesday.
In each case FWP officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota for the districts combined had been met.
